Any student in India opting for PCM in their +2 dreams of studying in IIT's,but is the preparation which takes 2 years is quite difficult.So i will talk about some alternatives of JEE
Out of the 3-4 lakh odd students writing JEE only some 7000 make it to these premier institutions.What about the rest? Some make it to the NIT's, some to lesser known private colleges. So even after putting in 2 years of hard work many still do not make it to the IIT's.
In my opinion you guys(those who can afford it) can prepare for SAT/IELTS because
1.Considering the Indian curriculum students find SAT fairly easy and scores of 2200-2400/2400 are easily achievable.
2. It gives you a chance to study in some of the Ivy League universities which are way better than the IIT's.
3.Reservations leave many many deserving candidates cursing the government.
4.You two years and uncountable hours your preparation for JEE. You need maybe just 150 odd hours to gear up for SAT and come out with flying colours.
By posting this I do not intend to hurt the feelings of all IItians.I know the amount of hardwork you all have put in to get where some people only dream off.

whose assured of getiing a satisfying moreover better paying jobs .Moreover the obcs,sc/st stuff simply sucks! no wonder general category gotta get quota smtime soon.Above everything SAT ensures u gr8 job ,bttr salary and at last nri tag.
u hv got to be kidding!!!! which part of the country r u living in??? wherever it is, u certainly dnt hv much idea about our country's masses!!!! first of all, to get a gud score in sat, u need a strong hand in english, which is something nt many indians can boast about.....sure the maths section is nt very difficult, bt still it is just worth 800 and the rest 1600 can be really difficult for most of the students of our country...
then the cost factor...again, a very small majority of the population can afford to pay 40-45 lac for a 4 yr degree. n u say tht the job opportunities r gud, bt the amount one invests takes a long time to be recovered even by the so called high salaries, so for some, it is nt really feasible....
ya giving sat may be a gud option for high end dps type kids, bt u can definately nt say tht preparing for iit is nt worth it!! maybe the packages r nt the best, maybe the infrasturcture needs improvement, n yes definately the govt is ruining the quality of iit thru reservations...bt one thing in which iit's r nt behind any other graduate school is PRESTIGE, n tht itself more than makes up for all the effort

Dear, i dont agree wd you.The biggest thyng i object is choosyn an entrance becoz of its difficulty level n all is disheartening.Remember jee is something which is not made 4 ev1...so not opting 4 it is sumthyn lyk surrendering before fightyn.Secondly u must not b aware of the fact dat iits provide u world level btech degree, which other foriegn universities can never match except very few.As regardyn the other thyngs, foreign studies may look lucrative bt 4 ug dey are never advised, and then u go there and live as a low graded citizen cum student, while in iits u can just breathe as a king..rest ...i thynk...4 knowing iit better...u need 2 b frm dat place...n trust me...i feel so proud dat i was a part of it..thanks iit...
Having made the tough decision of leaving JEE prep and going for international decisions, I wanna tell you the other side as well. I was lucky enough to get into one of my top schools. But such is not the case for everyone. Quite a lot of people even with scores 2200+ dont get into the schools of their choice. The competition is anyway so tough and the US schools give preference to American citizens, taking only about 10% of their total class as internationals (on an avg). So even after great SAT scores, great essays, recommendations, extra curriculars, you aren't assured a top college. They have no fixed criteria for selection of candidates and scholarships are even harder to come by.
Nothing in the world comes without hard work and also luck. This is true for both JEE and international admissions.
dude if you think dat scorin a score of 2200+ is easy so u r just doin nthin except day dreamin ..
u must first attempt d exm see ur score n den update ur blog by askin sry for d way u insulted d us universities in front of iit ..
